About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain external and internal customer contact
  • Review and book orders from the sales team
  • Purchase product from vendors and corporate manufacturing facilities
  • Record key dates and activities related to orders
  • Schedule and release completed product
  • Schedule Value Add and Pre-finish
  • Coordinate delivery of customer orders
  • Collect customer payments following installation or delivery as needed
  • Manage recovery processes for shortages and damaged product
  • Order parts and/or schedule service appointments
  • Process factory credits to Pella Corporation and follow up on pending or denied credits
  • Serve as a resource for PQM/ADM and product offering questions
  • Assist with physical inventory and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Promote and facilitate continuous improvement activities
  • Coordinate and manage installation permits
  • Collect and verify Lead Safe Install paperwork when applicable
  • Schedule installation and installation recovery appointments
  • Approve and process payments for subcontracted installation companies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • AA or Technical degree preferred
  • 0–2 years of customer service or general business experience preferred
  • Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and door applications or components desirable but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Expected to develop proficiency in Pella proprietary software (PQM, POETS, OMS, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills required
  • Ability to read, interpret, understand, and explain sales processes, product specifications, or warranty manuals
  • Excellent phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to perform basic business mathematics, including proportions, percentages, area, length, width, height, and depth
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Relocation is not offered
