About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform and complete assigned service tasks on Pella products in the field
- Problem-solve and diagnose difficult issues in the field
- Replace glass in windows or doors and install sashes, window shades, blinds, muntins, screens, and other items
- Provide customers with information on care, operation, and maintenance of Pella products
- Generate and update service-related documentation after service visits
- Conduct follow-up service work and communication to resolve assigned service tickets
- Perform job-site walk-throughs, complete documentation, and identify items requiring attention before project finalization
- Collect customer payment when required
- Identify and order parts for follow-up service calls and coordinate with the internal CSR team
- Maintain weekly stock of necessary parts and equipment
- Achieve customer satisfaction and support market-share growth as a Customer Experience Champion
- Assist with training new Service Technicians, Customer Service Representatives, or team members
- Maintain the assigned service vehicle and coordinate vehicle maintenance with the manager and service team
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities in service processes
- Follow safety requirements, use required personal protective equipment, and report safety issues
- Comply with the company Fleet Safety Policy
- Serve customers in the New Jersey and New York area
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Dependable work history
- Prior experience with power tools required, including table saw, circular or miter saw, pneumatic nail gun, and power drill
- General construction knowledge
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to develop proficiency in Pella proprietary software, including OSC/OFS, PQM, and OMS
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Ability to read, interpret, understand, and explain sales processes, product specifications, or warranty manuals
- Good public relations, public speaking, and customer service skills
- Excellent phone and email etiquette
- Ability to investigate issues and resolve conflict
- Ability to follow projects through to completion
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Window and door installation experience preferred
- AA or Technical degree preferred
- 0–2 years of field service or general business experience preferred
