About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage personal injury cases throughout the litigation process
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents
  • Assist attorneys with case strategy, legal research, and litigation preparation
  • Review, organize, and summarize medical records, bills, insurance information, discovery, and other case materials
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and help them navigate the litigation process
  • Coordinate with opposing counsel, medical providers, expert witnesses, lien holders, and insurance carriers
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation events and deadlines
  • Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, documents, witness materials, and other case materials
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized case files in the firm’s case management system

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience required
  • Personal injury litigation experience is preferred, but not required
  • Experience managing a high-volume litigation caseload
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, deadlines, and case management
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong legal writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple cases effectively
  • Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach
  • Experience with Filevine or another legal case management system is a plus, but not required
  • Must reside in Wisconsin
