About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check cashing
  • Uncover existing and potential members’ needs and recommend solutions using a sales-through-service consultative approach
  • Conduct basic member service and loan functions, including consumer accounts, disputes, account maintenance, and unsecured loans
  • Transition members to appropriate teammates for advanced products or services
  • Educate members on self-service technology and digital solutions, including mobile/online banking, bill pay, remote deposit capture, and ITM services
  • Maintain appropriate records and prepare required reports
  • Perform branch functions including end-of-day balancing and night drop
  • Recognize referral opportunities and refer members to internal partners for investments, mortgage, or commercial lending

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum two (2) years of financial institution experience in member service or cash operations, or comparable experience in cash handling, customer service, or sales experience
  • A high school degree or equivalent
  • Significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in multitasking across computer applications
  • Effective needs-based communication
  • Commitment to learning and professional development
