About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor, maintain, and update Excel-based Nutrient Management Plan, Nutrient Balance Sheet, and Manure Management Plan tools
- Support compliance with agricultural water quality regulations
- Develop and maintain program websites and web-based planning tools
- Lead migration of NMP and NBS software planning tools to a web-based platform
- Act as lead intermediary between NMEP, PAOneStop, agency partners, and web developers
- Work independently on complex and strategic assignments
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and interagency, university/Extension, and stakeholder workgroups
- Serve as NMEP representative and liaison
- Lead projects coordinating with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, State Conservation Commission, DEP, PAOneStop, Extension, USDA-NRCS, university colleagues, external customers, and tool users
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Strong computer programming skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties
- Valid driver's license
- Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
- Successful completion of standard background checks
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- No required certifications
