About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time basis in accounting
- Instruct and evaluate students in Accounting and/or other related areas
- Maintain accurate written records of student performance
- Complete official student rosters and return them to the school office as required
- Participate in the school assessment process
- Assist with curriculum review, revision, and development
- Maintain office hours according to contractual agreement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in a discipline directly related to the identified instructional area. Required
- Expertise with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation and analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and other data analysis and accounting software
- Ability to teach one or more courses in business administration/accounting
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, faculty, and the public
- Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
- Developed organizational skills
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues
- Ability and willingness to teach online if necessary
