About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Peppy’s growth and lead contract negotiations with mid-market and enterprise Fortune 500 clients
- Advise teams across the business and act as a trusted advisor on risk and commercial matters
- Report directly to the General Counsel
- Work closely with the sales team on drafting and negotiating enterprise customer contracts
- Create, update and manage legal templates and support queries relating to the online contracting platform
- Review, draft and negotiate supplier contracts and handle commercial ad hoc enquiries
- Update end user terms and conditions, privacy policy and other relevant documentation
- Support InfoSec, Product, Clinical Operations and other teams on projects and business ventures, highlighting and escalating risks
- Advise Product and Practitioner teams on privacy and regulatory compliance
- Advise the People team on employment agreements and employment law issues
- Use AI tools to improve legal processes, including contract review, template management and routine queries
- Support other members of the legal team
Requirements
What you’ll need- UK qualified solicitor, trained in-house or in a Legal 500 firm
- At least 3 years PQE
- Prior experience in a B2B SaaS business in-house role or private practice focused on commercial contract drafting and negotiation
- Experience negotiating contracts with large enterprise businesses’ in-house legal teams or experienced lawyers
- Demonstrable experience and interest in corporate, commercial and privacy law
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with and learning new software tools
- Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools in legal work
- Enthusiasm for using AI tools to design smarter, more efficient ways of working
