About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive air traffic and technical training programs supporting NAS modernization
- Translate FAA operational procedures, system requirements, and technical information into clear training
- Develop or maintain instructor-led training, virtual learning, simulations, exercises, job aids, and performance-based assessments
- Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on instruction to operational and technical personnel
- Partner with FAA SMEs, engineers, system integrators, instructors, and program teams
- Maintain training materials, curricula, schedules, qualification records, and required documentation
- Provide subject matter expertise on FAA air traffic operations, procedures, and NAS environments
- Identify training risks, gaps, and readiness concerns and develop mitigation strategies
- Maintain accurate training records and drive continuous program improvements
- Travel to CONUS and potentially OCONUS deployment locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- One of the following education/experience combinations: bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ relevant experience; master’s degree and 10 years’ experience; associate degree and 14 years’ experience; or high school diploma and 16 years’ experience
- Experience in air traffic training, instructional design, technical training, training development, and/or training program execution
- Strong working knowledge of FAA air traffic control operations, procedures, and terminology
- Experience developing training materials, lesson plans, presentations, exercises, simulations, job aids, and/or performance assessments
- Experience delivering instructor-led, virtual, and/or hands-on training
- Strong facilitation, presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel 50% in support of program requirements
- Must reside within the contiguous United States
