About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join Peraton’s Department of State Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program for Diplomatic Technology
Work within an Agile Team to plan and develop automated test scripts supporting integration testing requirements
Create, execute, and maintain automated tests using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks
Generate technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools
Maintain a Kanban board with tasks
Report work status during scheduled standup meetings
Collaborate with developers and testers to validate APIs, web services, and system integrations
Help ensure high-quality software delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience
Good knowledge of functional, environmental, operational, and performance testing
Problem-solving skills to isolate and document issues and defects
Interest and ability to program in text-based and object-oriented languages, such as Java, Python, and JavaScript
Exposure to software engineering principles and basic test automation concepts
Experience in an agile testing environment including Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins
U.S. Citizenship required
Must be able to obtain or have an Active Secret (or higher) clearance; interim clearances acceptable
Familiarity with AI-assisted development or testing tools
Experience developing automated test scripts using Java or other programming languages
Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Gauge is a plus
Experience writing SQL scripts for Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.
