About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and build AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Guide ADTs on cloud solution patterns, deployment strategies, and architecture decisions
- Own automation end-to-end, from IaC authorship and pipeline design through production operations
- Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to observability and monitoring practices
- Provide technical support and guidance to AWS and managed service users
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure
- Monitor AWS environments, identify performance or availability issues, and troubleshoot and resolve incidents
- Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to implement cloud solutions and improve reliability
- Maintain configuration documentation, diagrams, and SOPs for all environments
- Perform backups, scheduled upgrades, and maintenance during maintenance windows
- Monitor security vulnerabilities and perform ad hoc upgrades and maintenance
- Support audit activities by providing logs, reports, and system configurations
- Manage and support AWS IAM, including roles, policies, permissions, and access controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment credit check as required by the Customer
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience; a Master's Degree and 6 years of experience, or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years of experience
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of AWS architecture, networking, security, serverless/microservice architectures, and containerization
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, specifically advanced Terraform skills
- Proven experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including reusable/shared components for enterprise-scale delivery
- Hands-on experience monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting SaaS application logs
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash; Ansible experience is a plus
- Proficient in configuration management, observability, reliability, and disaster recovery practices
- Proficient in cloud engineering processes using automation tooling such as Terraform, Python, and GitLab CI for AWS workloads
- Strong Git proficiency, including common branching/release strategies such as GitFlow
- Experience with CloudFormation, PowerShell, JavaScript/Node.js, or other scripting languages is preferred
- Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and resolving high-priority incidents in large, multi-tenant environments is preferred
- Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred
