About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the County of San Diego Contract from June 2027 to August 2027
  • Bridge County needs and technical teams by translating business problems into clear requirements and user stories
  • Help shape how AI-assisted development projects are scoped and planned under the AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC)
  • Work alongside Peraton professionals on real projects that modernize County services
  • Contribute to emerging work applying AI to how software is designed, built, and delivered

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US Citizenship
  • HS Diploma and some advanced level training
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student
  • Completed progress or pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Strong written communication and ability to document processes and requirements clearly
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile concepts
  • Experience writing user stories or acceptance criteria (desired)
  • Familiarity with AI-DLC, JIRA, or process-mapping tools such as Visio and Lucidchart (desired)
  • Basic SQL or data analysis skills (desired)
  • Interest in public-sector technology (desired)
