About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the State and Local Growth team as it expands Peraton’s footprint across California
- Identify and pursue new opportunities across state and local government
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research
- Prepare materials for pre-RFP engagements
- Contribute to white papers and thought leadership content
- Assist with planning and attendance at State and Local industry conferences
- Turn research and findings into presentations and briefings
- Inform how Peraton positions itself for growth across California
- Gain exposure to strategy, competitive intelligence, and proposal development in government contracting
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizenship
- HS Diploma and some advanced level training
- Current undergraduate or graduate student
- Completed progress or pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field
- Experience with research, writing, or analysis projects for a class, club, or organization
- Strong writing skills
- Proficiency with PowerPoint or Google Slides
- Coursework or project experience in market research, competitive analysis, or industry benchmarking
- Interest in government contracting, public-sector business development, or state and local government
- Experience contributing to proposals, white papers, or similar written deliverables
- Event planning or conference coordination experience
