About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide expertise supporting development and project management activities for DoD business management applications for Commander, Navy Installation Command programs
  • Design, document, test, and deploy business management applications throughout the full software life cycle
  • Analyze business and technical processes to develop new and modified business information processing systems
  • Develop requirements and designs for online applications deployed in a cloud environment
  • Follow software requirements and design processes in an agile environment
  • Develop software user manuals and demonstrate software releases to customers
  • Participate in planning, daily progress, periodic review, and lessons-learned meetings
  • Work with government stakeholders to design, develop, integrate, and test solutions
  • Lead requirements elicitation with government stakeholders
  • Complete high-level and detailed designs, system design specifications, and requirements documentation
  • Use requirements and design tools to track tasks, manage application changes, and update SRS/SDD documentation
  • Gather requirements and design UI mockups
  • Analyze and document internal and customer business processes
  • Track and complete software user manuals and end-user documentation for each release
  • Assist with post-ATO process documentation and vulnerability remediation efforts
  • Assist with Help Desk management, including tracking CNIC Help Desk customer issues and notifying appropriate departments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. Citizen
  • AA/AS with 7 years experience, BS/BA with 5 years experience, MS/MA with 3 years of experience, or 9 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience working with customers to develop system requirements and designs
  • Knowledge of software life cycle design and development phases
  • Experience developing high-level and detailed requirements, detailed design documents, and requirements traceability documents
  • Experience developing high-level and detailed software user manuals and end user documentation
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office applications
  • Ability to learn unique software applications such as requirements and design repository systems
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
