About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and maintain the Deputy CIO/PAE daily and long-range calendar
- Manage and process executive staff travel requirements, including itineraries, Defense Travel System coordination, and engagement logistics
- Coordinate senior leader engagements, external visits, and high-level events
- Serve as liaison between J-6/PAE senior leadership front office and internal/external stakeholders
- Provide administrative support to the broader J-6 CIO Executive Assistant team
- Support executive document control and records management
- Develop and maintain standardized workflows, templates, and collaboration processes
- Track and oversee executive taskers, suspense actions, and reporting requirements
- Prepare executive-level meetings, organize read-aheads, capture action items, and maintain follow-up mechanisms
- Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; alternatively, 9 years with a high school diploma
- Experience supporting senior executives, flag/general officers, SES personnel, or comparable leadership
- Proven ability to serve as a professional liaison among senior leaders, staff offices, external organizations, and other stakeholders
- Experience organizing executive correspondence, records, files, and controlled document workflows in accordance with organizational governance requirements
- Have or obtain a favorable Tier 1 (Public Trust) investigation
- Proof of U.S. citizenship required
- Prior DHA, Military Health System, or DoD experience desired
