About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the Database SME, providing technical expertise and guidance to development and technical teams
  • Lead database design, data modeling, performance tuning, optimization, implementation, and operational support
  • Design, implement, and support MongoDB and relational database environments, including Oracle
  • Design, implement, and support large-scale databases exceeding 5TB, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues and identify opportunities for performance and operational improvements
  • Support Databricks and enterprise-level data solutions
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and technical teams to develop and maintain scalable, high-performing database solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 8 years of experience, or HS diploma or equivalent and 12 years of experience
  • 8+ years of demonstrated database experience
  • Strong hands-on expertise with MongoDB and/or relational database technologies, including Oracle
  • Strong experience with database design, performance tuning, optimization, data modeling, and operational support
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale databases greater than 5TB
  • Experience maintaining and optimizing enterprise database environments to ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and availability
  • Ability to provide technical expertise and guidance on database architecture, design, implementation, and operational support
  • Databricks experience preferred
  • Databricks foundational/basic certification desired
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification desired
