About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Detect, evaluate, and mitigate insider risks from data theft, espionage, fraud, sabotage, unintentional incidents, and workplace violence
  • Collaboratively develop, monitor, and evolve corporate insider risk detections
  • Identify high-risk behavior
  • Correlate technical data from UAM, UBA, DLP, and SIEM with non-technical data sources for proactive insider risk detection
  • Provide analytical and investigative support to counterintelligence and insider risk mitigation efforts
  • Conduct interviews of persons of interest and gather investigative information
  • Prepare and deliver reports using metrics and data visualizations
  • Communicate findings, trends, and patterns
  • Develop recommendations to remediate threat discoveries and promote a secure environment
  • Support insider risk and counterintelligence program activities, including security awareness, training, and education products
  • Brief large audiences, key stakeholders, and senior leaders on insider risk and counterintelligence issues
  • Evaluate insider risks using all-source analysis and internal and external data sources
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to inform risk-based decisions and proactively mitigate threats

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 0 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent degree
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
  • Basic understanding of insider risk and counterintelligence risk activity, including data theft, espionage, fraud, sabotage, unintentional incidents, and workplace violence
  • Familiarity with insider risk detection technologies, including UAM, UBA, SIEM, and DLP
  • Experience interpreting data and analyzing non-technical data feeds to uncover anomalies
  • Basic knowledge of Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) or similar environment methodology, including threat monitoring, intrusion detection, incident response, handling, and remediation
  • Ability to conduct open-source intelligence analysis
  • Excellent critical thinking, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work on various tasks with competing deadlines
  • Curiosity and willingness to explore new technologies
  • Preferred: proficiency in Python, C#, C++, Perl, or Java
  • Preferred: experience analyzing, cleaning, transforming, and manipulating data
  • Preferred: experience working within an unclassified managed attribution environment
  • Preferred: prior experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Network Operation Center (NOC)
  • Preferred: certified or able to become certified in Security+ or Network+
