About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the FWS BA SME in documenting current-state FWS consultation workflows, decision logic structures, and template formats
- Analyze existing platform decision logic to identify updates required for NOAA Fisheries species integration
- Document FWS-specific user stories and acceptance criteria for UI updates, logic changes, and template modifications
- Assist with FWS ES requirements workshops and capture meeting notes, decisions, and action items
- Support development of pilot consultation scenarios for FWS-side consultation types
- Track FWS ES review and approval activities for deliverables requiring FWS sign-off
- Support development of FWS-facing training materials and job aids
- Maintain traceability matrices linking FWS requirements to implemented features and test cases
- Compile FWS-specific content for progress reports and the year-end final report
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree and 0 years of professional experience, or an Associate’s degree and 4 years of professional experience, or a High School diploma/equivalent and 6 years of professional experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- All work must be performed within the United States
- Experience supporting business analysis on federal IT programs
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation
- Strong facilitation support and meeting documentation skills
- Experience maintaining requirements traceability matrices
- Preferred: Familiarity with FWS Ecological Services processes or Endangered Species Act Section 7 consultation workflows
- Preferred: Direct experience with the IPaC platform or FWS IT systems
- Preferred: Experience supporting federal environmental regulatory programs
- Preferred: Experience contributing to program status reports or monthly progress reports
- Preferred: Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
- Preferred: ECBA or CCBA certification
