About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Investment Management Branch within the Portfolio Resource Management Division with personnel reporting, data reconciliation and analysis, staffing-level tracking, recruitment-metric analysis, regulatory compliance, and HR information-system recommendations
  • Extract and validate personnel data from government systems, including Ektropy
  • Analyze, verify, and update Position and Personnel site modules in Ektropy
  • Perform bi-weekly Quality Assurance and Quality Control reporting for Position and Personnel modules
  • Update the Site Schedule report with CIO contact dates, site issues, and Position module update completion
  • Analyze HR data to identify discrepancies and process-improvement opportunities
  • Provide inputs for workforce-metrics dashboards and relational-view outputs
  • Maintain employee records and Key Supporting Documents for audit purposes in compliance with OPM and DoW regulations
  • Track staffing levels, analyze recruitment and retention data, and review HR-policy compliance
  • Resolve personnel-record discrepancies and validate employee data
  • Prepare responses to HR data calls and assist with official tasker deadlines
  • Collaborate with HR dashboard and systems teams to format outputs and align with government standards
  • Present recommendations to branch and section leadership on HR processes, personnel-data accuracy, and system-interface improvements
  • Develop and maintain a Quality Control program for personnel data and reporting
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 years with BS/BA; 6 years with a high school diploma
  • Strong ability to analyze data, detect discrepancies, validate records, and resolve data-quality issues
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively across functional teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data validation
  • Have or obtain favorable Tier 1 (Public Trust) investigation
  • Must possess proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Defense Health Agency (DHA) Ektropy application and UMD experience highly desired
  • Prior DHA, Military Health System, or DoD experience desired
