About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Investment Management Branch within the Portfolio Resource Management Division
  • Design, develop, and manage low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
  • Build production-ready canvas or model-driven Power Apps
  • Implement advanced formulas, component libraries, custom connectors, environment variables, role-based security, and ALM basics
  • Design multi-step, branching Power Automate flows with error handling, approvals, expressions, and advanced conditions
  • Integrate systems across Dataverse, Azure AD, and external APIs
  • Troubleshoot performance, concurrency, and retry policies
  • Develop and maintain Power BI executive dashboards and insightful reports
  • Write intermediate DAX measures, automate refreshes, use gateway connections, and perform basic data shaping with Power Query
  • Apply row-level security and workspace governance practices
  • Apply platform best practices for naming, security, solution structure, licensing, and environment strategy
  • Participate in architectural discussions
  • Collaborate with business analysts, backend developers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements
  • Oversee organizational knowledge management, including SOP creation, storage, sharing, and content lifecycle governance
  • Track and report KPIs for knowledge management and process automation systems
  • Provide training and support for junior staff using Power Platform tools
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of experience with BS/BA, or 9 years with a high school diploma
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
  • Strong troubleshooting, optimization, and problem-solving skills across apps, flows, reports, and data connections
  • Proven security and governance capability, including role-based security, Power BI row-level security (RLS), workspace governance, naming conventions, and platform/environment strategy
  • Have or obtain favorable Tier 3 investigation
  • Have or obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) before start date
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship required
  • Prior DHA, Military Health System, or DoD experience desired
  • Deep understanding of SQL, MS Dataverse, and underlying data structures
  • Strong communication and ability to lead cross-functional development initiatives
