About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of engineers and technical staff supporting the OS/COMET ® commercial product
  • Lead development and modernization of Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C) and Satellite Mission Planning and Scheduling systems
  • Deliver Mission Management Integrated Solutions Tool Suite COTS Command & Control software for mission-critical government customers
  • Serve as the primary interface to Government and Industry leadership, Contracting Officers, and senior mission stakeholders
  • Maintain accountability for program performance across cost, schedule, and technical execution
  • Develop goals, budgets, and strategic business plans
  • Maintain product market position by managing existing product lines and competitive market information
  • Recommend ways to expand sales and profitability in specific markets
  • Lead program financial management, including forecasting, EACs, staffing strategy, and cost control
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, operational, and financial program risks
  • Lead executive-level briefings, program management reviews (PMRs), and customer engagements
  • Drive product culture, enhancements, future growth pipeline needs, and on-contract growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience as a supervisor, with preferred PM skills
  • 5-10 years with leading SW Management Experience
  • Experience leading teams delivering complex, scalable software systems
  • Experience and track record delivering capabilities to one of the following organizations: Department of War, NASA, NOAA, Intelligence Community, commercial company/org.
  • Strong background in software architecture, system design, and SDLC execution
  • Experience with cloud-based environments and modernization efforts
  • Experience in integrating COTS products with custom software solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile/DevSecOps methodologies and secure development practices
  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging technical teams and customer stakeholders
  • Active or ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to identify areas to improve and be open to change, and drive that change across the teams
  • Experience with capture and growth activities
  • Experience with commercial products
  • Preferred: Experience supporting satellite systems, TT&C, or mission planning/scheduling environments, specifically with the OS/COMET ® commercial product
  • Preferred: PMP, Agile, or technical leadership certifications
  • Preferred: Familiarity with NASA,DOW, or IC mission systems and systems engineering processes
  • Preferred: Experience with containerization (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud-native architecture and hybrid environments
