About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage all aspects of proposal development from assignment and receipt of RFP through delivery and customer receipt
Direct and coordinate Proposal Volume Leads, writers, consultants, proposal staff, and proposal coordinators
Work with the Capture Manager, Business Development Executive, and Lead Solution Architect to develop technical and management solutions
Contribute to proposal development writing efforts, whitepapers, oral presentations, and other business materials
Identify and secure resources necessary to develop proposals
Analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, customer requirements, and communications to determine document structure
Prepare proposal plans, schedule outlines, and compliance matrices
Coordinate and lead kickoff meetings, strategy meetings, and color team reviews
Lead content development, storyboarding, strategic strengths, and discriminators
Develop and manage proposal schedules and deadlines
Guide proposal writers, contributors, subcontractors, and teaming partners
Manage collection and editing of proposal materials for compliance
Ensure compliance with Section L&M and similar solicitation requirements
Communicate proposal requirements and status with senior management
Monitor amendments and modifications to solicitations
Use Peraton’s AI tool for content creation, compliance, and reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10+ years’ relevant professional experience as Proposal Manager
6+ years of successful track record winning proposal efforts valued at $200M or more
Proficiency in MS Office business applications, including SharePoint
Proven proposal leadership skills, including team building, conflict resolution, and resource allocation
Experience keeping teams focused on developing compliant, compelling, competitive, winning documents
Extensive experience mentoring and coaching less experienced staff and senior operations staff who are writing proposals for the first time
Ability to work with little direction and manage multiple tasks
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required
US Citizenship
APMP Certification (desired)
Experience collaborating with Senior, Corporate leadership (desired)
Active TS level security clearance with SCI eligibility (desired)
