About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform application development, prototyping, testing, and demonstrations for users
Perform code merges, resolve conflicts, and deploy repositories to sandboxes and test environments
Assist deployments to higher environments and production
Build custom applications using Salesforce declarative customization capabilities, including Flows and App Builder
Design solution recommendations and roadmaps for service modernizations using Salesforce Platform capabilities and customized solutions
Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and customers to architect Salesforce solutions meeting business requirements
Design and develop business functionalities using Salesforce CRM/CX technologies
Perform fit-gap analysis across Salesforce clouds, services, AppExchange tools, and Salesforce Platform
Document, maintain, and govern Salesforce solutions throughout their lifecycles
Address security and compliance requirements, including Section 508 and FISMA, for Salesforce sandbox and development environments
Design and develop APIs, interfaces, and integrations between Salesforce and external systems
Review and correct project direction, approaches, and key artifacts to keep programs on track
Ensure business expectations are met through proper testing and monitoring of performance and security requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years professional experience, or Master’s Degree and 6 years professional experience, or high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years professional experience
At least 5 years of direct experience in software development lifecycle
At least 5 years of experience developing enterprise-level Salesforce projects throughout implementation lifecycles with demonstrable success
Fluent in performing code merges of Salesforce Git repositories, including conflict resolution
Experience deploying repositories to sandboxes and test environments
Proficiency in Visualforce, Apex classes/controllers, triggers, SOQL and SOSL
Proficiency with Data Loader, Workbench, Salesforce Platform IDE, and third-party Salesforce integrations
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience designing, building, and implementing custom applications using Salesforce declarative customization capabilities
Active Secret or higher clearance; interim clearance acceptable
US citizenship required
Salesforce certifications listed as preferred: Certified Force.com/Salesforce Platform Advanced Developer (DEV 501), Salesforce Platform Developer I or equivalent experience, and Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
Experience developing/deploying applications written in open languages on Heroku and integrating with Salesforce platform is preferred
