About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform application development, prototyping, testing, and demonstrations for users
Merge code, resolve conflicts, and deploy repositories to sandboxes and test environments
Assist deployments to higher environments and production
Build custom applications using Salesforce declarative customization capabilities, including Flows and App Builder
Design solution recommendations and modernization roadmaps using Salesforce Platform capabilities and customized solutions
Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, development teams, support teams, and customers to architect Salesforce solutions
Design and develop business functionality using Salesforce CRM/CX technologies
Perform fit-gap analysis across Salesforce clouds, AppExchange tools, and Salesforce Platform capabilities
Document, maintain, and govern Salesforce solutions throughout their lifecycles
Address security and compliance requirements, including Section 508 and FISMA, for Salesforce sandbox and development environments
Design and develop APIs, interfaces, and integrations between Salesforce and external systems
Implement testing and monitor performance and security requirements to ensure business expectations are met

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ of experience or Master’s Degree and 3 years’ of experience
At least 3 years’ direct experience in Agile software development lifecycle
At least 2 years of experience developing enterprise-level Salesforce projects throughout implementation lifecycles, with demonstrable success
Fluent in performing code merges of Salesforce Git repositories, including conflict resolution
Experience deploying repositories to sandboxes and test environments
Experience writing Visualforce, Apex classes/controllers, triggers, SOQL and SOSL
Proficiency with Data Loader, Workbench, Salesforce Platform IDE, and third-party Salesforce integrations
Experience designing, building, and implementing custom applications using Salesforce Platform declarative customization capabilities
Must be able to obtain or have an Active Secret (or higher) clearance; interim clearance acceptable
U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred: Certified Force.com/Salesforce Platform Advanced Developer (DEV 501)
Preferred: Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I or equivalent experience
Preferred: Experience developing/deploying applications written in open languages on Heroku and integrating with Salesforce Platform
