About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and support modernization efforts for the U.S. Navy
- Enable microservices to be rapidly built, tested, fielded, and integrated with container orchestration platforms
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Automate infrastructure so environments are predictable and supportable
- Support containerized platforms in secure, regulated environments
- Work directly with software and cyber engineers to solve delivery problems
- Adapt to different program needs, priorities, and technical stacks
- Collaborate on software solutions for mission planning and execution for carrier strike groups
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 8 years’ experience with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA
- Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- U.S. citizenship
- Strong Kubernetes work experience
- Must live in the San Diego metro area
- CompTIA Security+ Certification or ability to obtain it within 45 days of hire
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with containerization, such as Docker, Podman, or Buildah
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with container orchestration, such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with CI/CD automation tools, such as GitLab, Jenkins, or AWS Code Build
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with Linux systems, such as RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with automation and scripting, such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Preferred: degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field
- Preferred experience with cloud computing infrastructure or development, such as AWS or Azure
- Preferred experience with full stack software development, such as Java, Python, TypeScript, React, or SQL
- Preferred experience with Atlassian suite tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or Bitbucket
