About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support multiple programs within Peraton’s Federal Civilian portfolio, specifically key Homeland/National Security programs
- Support a geographically dispersed workforce of 500+ employees
- Partner with leaders across the business to deliver strategic, results-driven HR support
- Execute workforce planning, talent management, performance management, employee relations, compensation reviews, leadership development, training, and engagement initiatives
- Drive HR initiatives and projects while balancing multiple priorities and meeting timeline commitments
- Build consultative relationships across HR Centers of Excellence and business stakeholders
- Analyze workforce and organizational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend actionable solutions
- Guide leaders through complex employee relations issues
- Manage confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
- Serve as an ambassador for Peraton’s Strategic Imperatives, Operational Priorities, sector culture, and engagement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 12 years of HR experience, with at least 10 years as a Human Resources Business Partner
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- Strong communication skills across all levels
- Experience presenting to large groups and facilitating HR discussions with managers and employees
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office tools
- Must reside in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC area
- Ability and willingness to be onsite 4 days per week
- Demonstrated ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential information
- Preferred: HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
- Preferred: Experience with Workday, iCIMS, Power BI, or other Human Capital Management systems
- Preferred: Experience in the Defense industry, Unions, or Service Contract Act (SCA)
- Preferred: Active or ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
