About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage all aspects of proposal development, including writing, editing, illustration, and production, from receipt of RFP through delivery to the customer
Direct and coordinate Proposal Volume Leads, writers, consultants, proposal staff, and proposal coordinators
Work with the Capture Manager, Business Development Executive, and Lead Solution Architect to develop and articulate technical and management solutions
Contribute to proposal development writing efforts, whitepapers, oral presentations, and other business materials
Identify and secure resources necessary to develop proposals
Analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, customer requirements, and communications to determine document structure
Prepare proposal plans, schedule outlines, and compliance matrices
Coordinate and lead kick-off meetings, strategy meetings, Color Team Reviews, and other major project events
Lead content development, storyboarding, and development of strategic strengths and discriminators
Develop and manage proposal schedules and meet deliverables and production deadlines
Guide proposal writers, contributors, subcontractors, and teaming partners
Manage collection, editing, and compliance of proposal materials
Ensure proposals follow Section L&M or similar instructions and requirements
Communicate proposal requirements and status to senior management
Monitor amendments and modifications to solicitations
Support proposal center processes, standard style guides, and submission guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 12+ years’ relevant professional experience as Proposal Manager
6+ years of successful track record winning proposal efforts valued at $200M or more
Proficiency in MS Office business applications, including SharePoint
Proven proposal leadership skills, including the ability to build a strong team, resolve conflict, and allocate appropriate resources
Experience keeping a team focused on developing a compliant, compelling, competitive, winning document
Extensive experience mentoring and coaching less experienced staff and senior operations staff writing proposals for the first time
Ability to work with little direction and manage multiple tasks
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required
US Citizenship
Familiarity with AI is desired
APMP Certification is desired
Experience collaborating with Senior, Corporate leadership is desired
Active TS level security clearance with SCI eligibility is desired
