About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review customer-submitted requirements
Perform end-to-end network systems engineering
Identify additional requirements necessary to meet mission needs
Collaborate with engineering and network teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions
Design, configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure
Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
Provide guidance on hardware selection and implement techniques and tools for efficient, scalable solutions meeting current and future capacity requirements
Apply expertise across routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and their interconnections
Design and implement failover solutions for major customers
Plan and lead Systems Engineering efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
Twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer (SE) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required; five (5) additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
Experience supporting the customer’s Mission Systems is required
Ability to analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required
DoD 8570/8140 certification required; preferably a CISSP
Possession of a valid 8570/8140 certification is required and will be verified during the interview or offer process
Experience in Network Engineering and Systems Engineering supporting Cloud Operations
Experience designing and implementing data networks supporting cloud operations
Solid understanding of network management protocols
Ability to work with network architecture design, system implementation, and integration of new technologies
