About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support testing of new ground infrastructure for a customer demonstration program
- Assist with design, development, evaluation, and modification of end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their life cycle
- Develop quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics
- Ensure requirements comply with customer requirements and government standards through formal verification methods (RVTM)
- Establish and coordinate standards, practices, and procedures for integration, verification, and validation of ground infrastructure
- Review and refine interfaces, bring system elements together, and assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
- Lead or participate in component design and major milestone reviews for hardware and software
- Develop test plans and procedures, ensure contractual objectives are met, and participate in integration, verification, and validation testing
- Execute test plans and procedures
- Integrate activities among multiple internal groups, enterprise services, and mission
- Assist the customer with scheduling, action tracking, requirements gathering, and data collection
- Participate in or facilitate TEMs, develop agendas, record minutes, and track actions
- Travel domestically up to 1–2 times per month may be necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; minimum of 10 years with MS/MA
- At least 10 years of experience in network systems engineering, with a focus on development, integration, and testing
- Active/current Top Secret Security Clearance
- US citizenship is required
- In-depth understanding of networks, including operational use, design principles, and interoperability with other systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Experience in system integration, testing, and validation
- Preferred: 15 years’ experience in space acquisitions focused on development, integration, and testing of space communications systems
- Preferred: Active/current TS/SCI
