About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the County of San Diego Contract from January 2027 to August 2027
  • Work with senior architects to design cloud and AI solutions for County services
  • Create system diagrams and architecture patterns
  • Develop AWS-based designs under the AI-DLC framework
  • Work alongside Peraton professionals on real projects modernizing County services
  • Support emerging work applying AI to how software is designed, built, and delivered

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US Citizenship
  • HS Diploma and some advanced level training
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student
  • Completed progress toward or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Understanding of software design and cloud computing fundamentals
  • Ability to create technical diagrams and explain design decisions
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate certification (desired)
  • Familiarity with architecture patterns including microservices, serverless, and event-driven (desired)
  • Exposure to AI-DLC, infrastructure as code, or AWS AI services (desired)
  • Prior software development internship (desired)
