About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain DHA’s Application Lifecycle Management Tools across development, test, and production environments
  • Implement AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, and LLM tools within the DevSecOps pipeline
  • Collaborate with developers and security teams to build secure, automated workflows complying with DoD RMF guidelines
  • Monitor and optimize systems to eliminate manual processes, reduce administrative friction, and lower total cost of ownership
  • Identify infrastructure bottlenecks, system vulnerabilities, and performance degradation using AI-powered monitoring tools
  • Ensure ALMT configurations adhere to DHA cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and HIPAA regulations
  • Harden application environments using RMF standards, STIGs, and vulnerability remediation to maintain ATO status
  • Evaluate business, operational, functional, and technical requirements and assess system impacts
  • Develop and maintain technical artifacts, system diagrams, architecture documentation, interface documentation, and technical baselines
  • Conduct technical assessments to identify risks, performance limitations, sustainment challenges, modernization opportunities, and technology refresh needs
  • Review proposed upgrades, integrations, migrations, and technology implementations for feasibility, dependencies, and impacts
  • Assess solutions, system designs, integrations, and modernization initiatives with architects, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Provide system-specific analysis and recommendations during architecture, technical, and document reviews
  • Support system integrations involving enterprise services and external partners
  • Maintain traceability among mission needs, requirements, system capabilities, and implemented solutions
  • Assist with technical roadmaps, lifecycle plans, transition strategies, and modernization recommendations
  • Perform trade studies, alternatives assessments, market research, and product evaluations
  • Evaluate system performance, reliability, availability, maintainability, scalability, and operational effectiveness
  • Support release planning, deployment, migrations, upgrades, and transitions by evaluating readiness and risks
  • Support technical reviews, test result assessments, and verification and validation activities
  • Identify, document, track, and help mitigate technical risks, engineering issues, dependencies, and lifecycle challenges
  • Provide engineering support for incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions
  • Track industry trends, product lifecycles, and emerging technologies
  • Support system engineering, architectural, design, readiness, and technical assessment reviews
  • Prepare technical documentation, engineering analyses, technical briefings, action item tracking, risk assessments, and follow-up materials
  • Provide technical guidance to DHA development teams on ALMT features and AI productivity assistants

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; 12 years with a high school diploma
  • Proven experience in technical documentation, system architecture, and engineering analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust) or ability to obtain one
  • Travel as needed to support conferences and/or as requested by Government client
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with test and evaluation processes for IT systems
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Preferred experience in DoD or Federal environments
  • Preferred knowledge of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, DoD and DHA guidance, and lifecycle management
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and advancements
  • Preferred experience with AI-driven automation optimizing software delivery and code quality
