About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct rigorous product testing and evaluation for hardware and software systems, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
Conduct functional, interoperability, regression, performance, and end-to-end system integration testing
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test evaluation processes, procedures, documentation, and verification procedures from complex system requirements
Develop, maintain, and update test plans, test scripts, and test cases for IT systems
Create, implement, and report on system test plans, after-action reports, and test cases
Analyze test cases and provide progress reports to stakeholders
Identify, document, and track system anomalies using tools such as Jira
Coordinate and support defect triage meetings and conduct root-cause analysis for technical infrastructure or software integration issues
Produce detailed test reports, operational readiness assessments, and technical briefings for leadership and government stakeholders
Engage in all phases of IT systems development, emphasizing requirements analysis, test design, and tool selection
Apply engineering concepts, processes, practices, and procedures to technical tasks
Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to verify compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework standards and maintain auditable security evidence
Collaborate with senior technical professionals, user staff, and stakeholders to complete projects and ensure systems meet operational and business requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years of experience with a BS/BA, or 9 years with a high school diploma
Proven experience in technical documentation, system architecture, and engineering analysis
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust) or ability to obtain one
Exceptional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with test and evaluation processes for IT systems
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
Must be a US Citizen
Preferred testing experience in DoD or Federal environments
Preferred knowledge of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, DoD and DHA guidance, and lifecycle management
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and advancements
Preferred experience with AI-driven automation optimizing software delivery and code quality
