About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join Peraton’s Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Technology Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations Program
  • Install, configure, analyze, and manage Oracle Fusion Middleware projects, including WebLogic, SOA Suite, OSB, BPEL, B2B, BPM Suite, and BAM
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for application infrastructure administration and Middleware environment support
  • Perform technical and analytical work supporting business users and stakeholders using Department of State and commercial off-the-shelf applications
  • Conduct hands-on installation, configuration, integration, upgrades, migrations, patching, and automation of Oracle Fusion Middleware SOA/BPM components and applications
  • Collaborate with teams on application deployments, code migration, issue resolution, and performance tuning
  • Establish and apply best practices through communication, documentation, and defect resolution
  • Troubleshoot complex Oracle Fusion Middleware SOA/BPM infrastructure, deployment, and integration issues
  • Manage Middleware platforms including WebLogic, J2EE, OHS, Apache, and Tomcat
  • Evaluate and implement new technology initiatives related to SOA and Oracle Fusion Middleware

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience OR a Master’s degree and 10 years of experience OR an Associate’s degree and 14 years of experience OR a High School diploma/equivalent and 16 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active SECRET Government Security Clearance
  • 6 years of progressive experience in a technical and/or Administrator role focused on Operations Support
  • 4 years of experience in architecture, design, administration, implementation, integration, automation, and performance tuning for Oracle SOA/BPM Suite environments
  • 2 years of experience architecting, designing, implementing, developing, and/or administering environments emphasizing Oracle SOA/BPM Suite and one or more specified Oracle technologies
  • Solid understanding of Oracle SOA/BPM Suite deployment, tuning, and configuration
  • Expertise in Oracle WebLogic or another JavaEE application server architecture and administration
  • Proficiency in JavaEE, XML, Web Services, Web Servers, and Application Servers
  • Experience with cross-product integration involving Oracle Fusion Middleware products
  • Experience installing, configuring, and administering Oracle Fusion Middleware products in a high-availability environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting, performance tuning, testing, and ongoing support
  • Experience supporting code deployments, customizations, and integration of Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies with third-party applications and databases
  • Knowledge of continuous integration tools and technologies, including Jenkins and Git
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an operational environment
  • Ability to prioritize day-to-day activities and long-term project tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred: Experience supporting the Department of State
  • Preferred: Experience in Oracle 19c and/or SQL Server 2012/2016 Database Administration
