About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide operational leadership across a portfolio of exploration and production drilling projects within the Goldfields region
- Oversee multiple sites and support Project Managers and Superintendents
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual, operational and financial objectives
- Set expectations, remove barriers, coordinate resources and manage commercial outcomes
- Ensure consistent operating standards across the region
- Engage regularly with crews, clients and site leadership teams
- Oversee exploration and production drilling operations
- Lead safety, health, environment and quality activities
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships
- Manage commercial and financial outcomes
- Lead people development
- Manage equipment and assets
- Drive safety, productivity, utilisation, drilling quality and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 10 years' experience in drilling operations, including exploration and production drilling
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory, project or operational leadership role
- Strong understanding of production drilling methods, equipment and operational constraints
- Experience managing multiple projects and geographically dispersed teams
- Proven commercial and financial management capability
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to meet site access requirements, including National Police Clearance where required
