About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide overall leadership to assigned construction projects from subcontractor procurement through close-out
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and customer satisfaction throughout projects
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and provide monthly financial forecasts
  • Conduct onsite subcontractor and owner progress and coordination meetings
  • Coordinate with Sales, Design, Accounting, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Create, plan, and update project schedules and coordinate progress against milestones and deadlines
  • Manage project-plan changes, delays, weather impacts, emergencies, materials, and equipment deliveries
  • Provide timeline, progress, and adjustment reports to project teams and customers
  • Ensure quality construction meets company standards, contract requirements, design intent, and client needs
  • Maintain onsite safety plans and oversee compliance with OSHA standards and applicable codes and regulations
  • Order, manage, and oversee delivery of materials and equipment
  • Plan, organize, and direct daily site construction activities with subcontractors
  • Administer contracts through project close-out
  • Write subcontractor scopes of work and bidding documents
  • Procure subcontractor and equipment pricing
  • Write and award subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Obtain required local building permits
  • Assist the Design/Estimating team to improve estimating accuracy
  • Proactively communicate project information and resolve potential site issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience and expertise across all aspects of construction projects
  • Ability to lead project teams from subcontractor procurement through close-out
  • Ability to manage project budgets, costs, and monthly financial forecasts
  • Ability to create, manage, and update project schedules
  • Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage project milestones and deadlines
  • Knowledge of construction quality standards, industry techniques, and processes
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety guidelines, building and safety codes, city guidelines, and local and state regulations
  • Ability to administer contracts, write scopes of work and bidding documents, and award subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Ability to procure and negotiate pricing with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Ability to obtain local building permits
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, time management, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in construction site conditions, including outdoor weather, noise, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration
