About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK, focusing on security, performance, and cost-efficiency
Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework across security, reliability, operations, performance, and cost
Build reusable CDK constructs, infrastructure standards, and golden paths
Build secure-by-default platform capabilities for independent service development, deployment, and operation
Contribute to reliability practices through SLOs, runbooks, incident tooling, and post-incident improvements
Manage cloud costs through tagging, budgeting, usage forecasting, anomaly detection, and waste elimination
Support developers with infrastructure best practices, CI/CD pipeline design, and DevSecOps fundamentals
Contribute to compliance and audit initiatives aligned with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST CSF
Work with security specialists, AWS solution architects, and auditors as needed
Collaborate with teams building services primarily in Golang and TypeScript, alongside React, React Native, Python, and PHP

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, AWS cloud, or platform engineering
Hands-on experience building and operating workloads on AWS, including Infrastructure as Code
Experience with AWS CDK strongly preferred, in any language
Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its principles
Platform engineering mindset focused on reusable capabilities, self-service, and automation
Proven track record of top academic performance in STEM/Computer Science, or demonstrable success in open-source projects or a portfolio
Active use of AI and agent-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining sound engineering judgment and high quality standards
Excellent English skills
