About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives for current products and support strategic quality goals across existing products and new product introductions
Work with cross-functional teams to drive business stakeholders’ priorities and support VAVE, cost reduction, supply chain, design for in-sourcing, and technology implementation activities
Provide evaluation results through verification and validation activities for PerkinElmer products, including Mass Spectroscopy, ICP-OES, and GC products
Lead and support VAVE activities, including technical evaluation, testing, validation, and implementation of cost-reduction and value-engineering opportunities
Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of customer-returned instruments and components, including RMA and DOA cases
Investigate reported issues, identify root causes, validate corrective actions, and provide technical recommendations to improve product quality and reliability
Support New Product Introduction transfer activities from development into production
Verify product performance, test requirements, test methods, and readiness of test stations and processes for manufacturing transition
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and other cross-functional teams
Log, track, and maintain records of defects, test results, investigation findings, and corrective actions through closure
Keep management informed of progress and strategy for significant or challenging deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent required
2-5 years analytical instrumentation experience
Statistical analysis capabilities a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to prioritize, multitask, take ownership of projects, and work with minimal oversight
Attention to detail
