About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a Consulting Actuary in completing actuarial and consulting projects for insurance companies and self-insureds
- Prepare rate level indications
- Complete class plan analyses
- Perform competitive research
- Complete benchmarking analyses
- Provide rate/rule filing support
- Conduct reserve analyses
- Conduct self-insured retention analyses and funding studies
- Update reserve studies for new or additional years of data
- Perform technical reviews of formulas and data entry
- Extract and summarize annual statement data
- Complete actuarial transmittal forms in all US jurisdictions for rate and rule filings
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA degree from an accredited university
- At least 1 Actuarial Exam
- At least 1 year working in the Property/Casualty industry
- Excellent Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Access and SQL
- Oral and written communication skills
