About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and maintain food safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct training sessions on food safety practices, proper handling, sanitation procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor changes in food safety regulations and industry trends
  • Assist in developing and maintaining hygiene procedures, including Zoning, GMP, Pest Management, and Environmental Monitoring
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve food safety issues
  • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures
  • Support overall food safety programs and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance in a manufacturing or food production environment
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and best practices, including FDA, USDA, HACCP, FSMA, and GMP
  • Proficient in conducting audits and inspections
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Familiarity with food safety software systems and data management tools is a plus
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
