About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical support during third-shift operations, including emergency response and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and IT teams to resolve automation and vision system issues
- Lead and support system upgrades to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety
- Participate in change management activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of system modifications
- Review and validate equipment specifications to ensure compliance with site standards
- Be available for overtime and after-hours support as needed
- Support manufacturing and packaging operations by maintaining and improving automation and vision systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in packaging or manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with change control and validation processes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to navigate multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and interaction with external partners
- Physical capability to work from ladders/lifts, perform heavy lifting, and provide personal transportation
- Minimum 5 years of experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs (RSLogix500, Studio5000) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience with industrial vision systems, including barcode scanning, label presence, and OCR, preferred
- Solid understanding of Ethernet/IP communication, drives/servos, robotics, and control system design preferred
- Ability to read and create control system documentation preferred
