About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment
  • Suggest methods of process improvement
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Troubleshoot and service intermediate electrical and machine control circuits, including conveyor drive systems, motor starter circuits, variable frequency drives, I/O switch functions, equipment wiring and grounding, and A/C and D/C electronic systems
  • Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
  • Read and interpret relay and PLC ladder logic
  • Participate in and assist with machine installations
  • Suggest and implement machinery upgrades and improvements
  • Support effective implementation of all GMP requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Thorough working knowledge of primary mechanical, electrical, and machine controls
  • Preferred 2–4 years of formal education in industrial/electrical maintenance from an accredited technical center or approved recognized apprenticeship program
  • At least 2–5 years of applicable work experience
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, including safety, quality, and GMP guidelines
  • Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical and electrical systems, machine controls, pneumatics, and vacuum systems
  • Familiarity with current machinery and control technologies
  • Understanding of GMP requirements and their effect on supported or owned products/processes
  • Experience with robotic systems and automation
