About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform liquid and tablet mixing, tablet coating, tablet compression, or liquid dispensing of OTC pharmaceuticals
  • Operate specialized, computer-controlled manufacturing equipment using Operator Interface Terminals
  • Operate calipers, balance scales, hardness testers, drum dumpers, straddle stackers, pallet jacks, and forklifts
  • Handle raw and intermediate materials, including charging ingredients, mixing, and transferring batches or components
  • Perform in-process attribute testing and visual inspections
  • Evaluate test results against prescribed parameters to determine whether products meet specifications
  • Follow SOPs, manufacturing orders, cleaning checklists, controlled documents, cGMP regulations, and safety protocols
  • Document GMP data on equipment logs, batch records, and cleaning checklists
  • Clean manufacturing equipment and suites using manual and automated processes, including confined-space entry
  • Perform minor equipment servicing, including disassembly, reassembly, and setup
  • Perform basic material handling and departmental utility tasks as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Basic math and English communication skills
  • Legible penmanship
  • High level of reading comprehension
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week and work overtime when necessary
  • Availability for training on various shifts
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Excellent attendance record and work history preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude highly preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, twist, grasp, move items/boxes, and feel with hands/fingers
  • Ability to sit, lift 50 lbs., pull and push with skid jacks up to 880 lbs., climb ladders, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, twist, reach, and reach above shoulders and head
  • Ability to rarely lift 25 lbs. above shoulders and head
  • Ability to work with loud noises/machinery, chemicals, and potential pharmaceutical allergens
