About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the quality and compliance of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples through laboratory analytical testing
  • Prepare solutions and reagents for testing
  • Perform analytical testing on raw material, finished product, process equipment, and environmental samples
  • Test purchased materials and Perrigo-manufactured products per cGMP requirements
  • Participate in laboratory investigations
  • Use analytical laboratory equipment including HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV, and IR
  • Remain informed of the regulatory landscape and product portfolio
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits
  • Maintain the personal laboratory work area and assist with general laboratory cleaning
  • Perform daily activities, decision-making, and problem-solving with increasing independence
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, committees, and the Mentor Program
  • Communicate effectively within the work group and support other analysts based on department needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry or Food Science preferred, Biology) required, including academic lab experience; OR Associate of Science degree in a scientific discipline and relevant training with 5 or more years of experience in a regulated environment
  • 1–2 years of experience working in a GMP/FDA-regulated manufacturing environment preferred
  • Intermediate laboratory/computer skills, including physical testing, HPLC analysis, impurity analysis, SAP, Microsoft Office, LES, UV-Vis, FTIR, Malvern, and Empower as applicable
  • Advanced understanding of laboratory regulations and requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and with others
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibility for results
