About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive operational excellence within a packaging zone
Deliver zone-level KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Optimize processes, including safety and quality improvements
Improve equipment reliability, machine capacity, and utilization
Eliminate waste
Lead a team of supervisors, engineers, continuous improvement engineers, and process support engineers
Collaborate with schedulers, analysts, training, safety resources, support groups, and functional leaders
Oversee 4–8 packaging lines
Manage approximately 50–100 direct labor employees and 3–9 exempt/non-exempt direct reports
Analyze data to drive focused improvement
Own PWS initiatives and KPIs within the zone
Translate improvement opportunities into sustained improvement
Analyze zone performance metrics and implement corrective actions
Lead and coach PWS initiatives such as 5S, Centerlining, Defect Handling, Changeover optimization, and Visual Management
Facilitate kaizen events, problem-solving workshops, and standard work development
Collaborate with quality, maintenance, engineering, scheduling, safety, and training/development teams
Fulfill 3-shift responsibilities
Foster a safe working environment
Drive productivity initiatives supporting high-quality, affordable self-care products

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required
Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred
3+ years of manufacturing or packaging experience with a focus on PWS and reliability
Proven effective leadership experience in continuous improvement
Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
Strong Excel, Redzone and Power BI skills
Commitment to Perrigo’s core behaviors and values
Uphold all EHS expectations
Maintain compliance with FDA, cGMP, and internal quality standards
