About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct evaluations, recommend referrals, and implement and oversee court-ordered probation activities for adult offenders
- Manage cases and supervise clients ordered to probation
- Maintain contact with offenders to ensure compliance with court orders
- Attend court hearings and prepare documentation, reports, and case recommendations
- Develop relationships with community resources and coordinate services
- Complete intake procedures, review background information, interview probationers, and assess risk and needs
- Monitor probationers and communicate with associated departments/agencies
- Attend professional development events and stay informed about relevant practices, rules, laws, policies, and guidelines
- Perform administrative tasks, maintain information files, and process paperwork
Requirements
What you’ll need- Driver's license
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience providing case management (e.g., probation, parole, medical, social work)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- No felony convictions or misdemeanors of moral turpitude including but not limited to domestic violence or theft
- Ability to obtain a Court Referral Officer (CRO) certification within one year of employment
- Frequent use of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word)
