About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft and edit proposals
- Manage and coordinate the proposal process, including planning, reviewing, and production of statements of qualifications and proposals
- Gather and research information for proposals, including resumes and project summaries
- Review, organize, and edit written documentation to improve clarity
- Perform final quality control checks, including proofreading for grammar, RFP compliance, and conformance to company strategies and plans
- Verify complex technical solutions, strategies, and themes are understandable, readable, and compelling
- Update lead resumes, project descriptions, and text libraries in the marketing database
- Assist in developing marketing tools such as brochures and the company website
- Engage senior technical and management staff to obtain information and commitment for specific pursuits
- Coordinate with technical staff to develop, research, track, and follow up on leads
- Participate in strategic planning, evaluating marketing intelligence, identifying customer concerns and key issues, and developing win strategies
- Attend industry functions to understand client and project requirements for proposal development
- Assist with day-to-day hard-copy and electronic file organization
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong organizational skills, knowledge, and experience with office procedures, systems, and protocols required
- Strong and effective communication, writing, and computer skills required
- Proven ability to independently manage a challenging workload with multiple priorities/tasks and adapt to unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing role within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry
- Advanced skills in Google Office, Microsoft Office, and file-sharing platforms such as Dropbox required
- Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat are strongly preferred; other Adobe Creative Suite tools, such as Photoshop and Illustrator, are a plus
- Strong understanding of marketing principles within the A/E/C industry
- Strong experience with designing marketing material preferred
- Experience with marketing professional services and familiarity with industry terms, contracts, deliverables, and processes required
- Previous experience with the creation, maintenance, and development of CRM databases is desired; experience with Cosential preferred
- Ability to collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, and relevant consultants in the proposal preparation process
