About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and control reviews for existing processes, new products, and initiatives
  • Identify, assess, and document key operational risks and controls
  • Review and analyze errors, incidents, and other risk events
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend or assist with implementing corrective measures
  • Report to Senior Management on key operational risks, significant risk events, outstanding issues, and other topics
  • Assist in collecting and reporting key risk indicators, top risks, and other risk-related metrics
  • Promote Prudential’s Operational Risk Management framework, policies, and procedures across PGIM Credit businesses
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate emerging risks and external events
  • Collaborate with Fixed Income and Private Credit Portfolio Managers and support functions to reinforce operational risk ownership and accountability
  • Act as an Internal Audit liaison, including planning and coordinating internal audits and monitoring audit action plans
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley and SOC1 annual reviews, including scope determination and audit/issues management
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit on risk and control matters
  • Assist with management, policy requirements, and ongoing monitoring of Models, Artificial Intelligence, and End User Computing Solutions
  • Support business transformation activities across PGIM Credit while assessing and mitigating risks associated with business and technology changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive business knowledge in the fixed income industry, encompassing public fixed income and private credit, specifically trade lifecycle activities and operational support
  • Minimum of 5 years of Audit and/or Operational Risk Management experience in the Asset Management industry
  • Previous experience in a global organization
  • Experience facilitating risk and control self-assessments
  • Experience reporting and analyzing internal and external risk events
  • Experience developing key risk indicators
  • Experience performing scenario analysis
  • Analytical mindset and ability to identify, assess, and mitigate key risks
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive change while retaining independence
  • Highly ethical individual with a strong moral compass
  • Ability to challenge management while partnering effectively with them
  • Results-oriented approach and ability to transform strategy into action
  • Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills in a cross-functional environment
  • CFA, MBA, or similar certification/credentials is a plus
