About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, operate, and continuously improve the hosting and deployment infrastructure for AI applications, interfaces, and automations
Automate builds, tests, and deployments through CI/CD pipelines
Set up and manage containerized applications, as well as separate development, testing, and production environments
Standardize and document infrastructure and configurations according to the Infrastructure as Code principle
Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting
Implement access-control concepts, secure secrets management, and technical separation of customer environments
Set up and verify backup, recovery, and rollback procedures
Analyze and resolve operational incidents in collaboration with the development team
Derive and implement lasting improvements
Monitor resource consumption and infrastructure costs while optimizing performance and cost efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need

Practical experience in DevOps, system administration, or operating production software applications
Strong knowledge of Linux, Docker, and core networking topics such as DNS, TLS, and reverse proxies
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
Experience with a leading cloud platform or operating self-managed server environments
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible
Experience with monitoring, logging, backups, and systematic incident analysis
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python
Understanding of IT security and the responsible handling of sensitive company data
Interest in the operational requirements and challenges specific to AI applications
Structured approach to work and a commitment to resolving the root causes of problems sustainably
Very good German language skills
