About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate operational and reporting activities for the US Clean Products VCO team
- Oversee transmix operations, including inventory management, weekly lifting schedules, disposition optimization, and term sale renegotiations
- Oversee transloading operations supporting Billings Refinery offtake optimization
- Monitor and confirm exchange balances, including financial book outs and bulk paybacks
- Support monthly nominations for exchange deals
- Provide backup coverage for Negotiators and maintain external counterpart touchpoints
- Set up ship-to, terminal, product, and carrier details for Supply & Exchange deals
- Update DTN Tabs and allocations to counterparts
- Administer exchange agreements for correctness and completeness
- Enter or modify sale, purchase, and exchange deals in SAP
- Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and support Supply Book transparency
- Audit, analyze, and optimize primary and secondary transfer costs
- Capture and track GI value contributions from Supply & Exchange activities
- Review exchange activity, volume trends, and supply book activity for anomalies, trends, and opportunities
- Track utilization and profitability of exchanges, term purchases, and sales deals
- Identify opportunities leveraging Phillips 66’s asset base or lowering supply costs
- Analyze alternatives and support Negotiators during negotiations
- Assist with term deal annual reviews and ad-hoc analysis
- Build relationships with Commercial, Marketing, VCO, Accounting, Back Office, F&PA, and external counterparties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee or temporary resident under 8 U.S.C. 1160(a) or 1255(a)(1)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or another relevant field
- 3 or more years of experience within the Energy industry
- Preferred: 5 or more years of experience in analytical or operational roles supporting Commercial Supply & Trading activity, VCO, Refining, Marketing, or Midstream
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Tableau/Power BI, and Alteryx DV
- Solid financial and economic analysis skills
- Basic understanding of downstream operations, supply chain, and value drivers
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and recommend actions to stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and make continuous improvements
- Ability to set, manage, and meet multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to work remotely via cellphone and/or laptop computer and willingness to work non-standard hours on occasion
