About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor daily operation of central plant equipment located in various buildings at the Bartlesville site
  • Perform preventive maintenance on central plant equipment
  • Perform repair work assigned by the shift leader
  • Follow safe work practices and use required PPE when working with hazardous and volatile materials
  • Complete job-specific training
  • Operate plant and equipment safely
  • Learn and assist with daily Power Plant operations
  • Learn redundancy operations, diagnostics, and restart processes during system emergencies such as power outages
  • Notify co-workers and supervisors of safety concerns immediately
  • Participate and interact with the team to meet objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to climb up to 250 feet in height, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including some weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to work outside in harsh weather conditions
  • Ability to work in enclosed spaces, such as tanks and silos
  • Ability to work near large, hot, high-speed machines
  • Ability to work around chemicals, including acids and bases
  • Ability to learn computer software associated with process operations
  • Ability to wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment
  • Ability to maintain facial hair requirements so a respirator/face mask can seal properly
  • U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or qualifying temporary resident; temporary visa holders and candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible
  • Preferred: college degree, technical or professional certification
  • Preferred: current or past State of Oklahoma Mechanical, Plumbing, Boiler Operator or Electrical license
  • Preferred: 1 or more years of direct experience as a maintenance craftsman/technician, oilfield or pipeline service technician
  • Preferred: direct experience with rotating equipment repair and/or maintenance
  • Preferred: experience operating and maintaining diesel-powered generators
  • Preferred: experience with building automation control systems such as Johnson Controls or Honeywell
  • Preferred: experience with process instrumentation
  • Preferred: 1 or more years of shift work experience
