About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently monitor and manage work-in-progress (WIP), adjusting daily priorities to balance customer commitments, engineering requirements, operational constraints, and business needs
- Coordinate priority, qualification, expedited, and customer-critical material through bottleneck operations and constrained resources
- Analyze capacity and workflow constraints, drive priority material through completion, and reduce aging WIP and improve cycle time
- Serve as an advanced user of Factory View, MES, RackMon, and other production control systems
- Serve as the primary Production Control coordinator during assigned shifts
- Lead production passdowns and guide Manufacturing Line Coordinator I and II personnel
- Coordinate Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Sales, Customer Support, and Operations teams, including other Photronics sites as needed
- Communicate plate status, delivery risks, technical issues, equipment downtime, defectivity, and recovery plans to stakeholders and customers as needed
- Oversee held, waiting, aging, and exception inventory
- Partner with Engineering on holds, dispositions, restarts, and priority concerns
- Own operational escalations from identification through resolution
- Lead cross-functional recovery from manufacturing constraints, engineering issues, equipment downtime, material shortages, and workflow disruptions
- Resolve delivery-impacting issues and track recovery actions through completion
- Support new manufacturing processes, automation initiatives, visibility tools, and workflow improvements
- Recommend and participate in improvements to cycle time, throughput, inventory management, communication, and customer delivery performance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operations, production flow, inventory management, and production control principles
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently prioritize work, make operational decisions, and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate across multiple functions
- Ability to assess plate production status and technical issues, explain risks and schedule impacts, and communicate concerns and next steps to Sales, Customer Service, and customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Experience using ERP, MES, production tracking, or manufacturing information systems
- Ability to analyze operational data and identify production risks and workflow constraints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, production control, supply chain, inventory management, scheduling, logistics, or operations coordination
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships and communicate critical information clearly and professionally
- High school diploma or equivalent required
